Dear all:
I have been participating with the NGO SED (Solidarity, Education and Development) for six years now. I have volunteered to Africa and Guatemala with them and, although the realities that I have seen in those places were hard, I have been lucky to meet wonderful people with whom I continue to have contact. Recently there have been floods in Guatemala and many of the families I know have lost their homes. Some of them we do not even know if they are still alive because there are areas that are still inaccessible and it is not possible to know if there are survivors. The schools I worked in are destroyed and everything has to be rebuilt from scratch. It is a horrible situation that needs a lot of help and that is why I propose this challenge:
If we all manage to collect € 1000 to send to Guatemala before December 18th, I will overcome my shame and sing live versions of songs that surely everyone knows. The effort will be worth it, for sure. The concert will be online on Monday 21st or Tuesday 22nd December in the afternoon, so that as many people as possible can connect. We have thought that the ticket will be worth € 5, although of course everything you can contribute will be greatly appreciated.
I hope with great enthusiasm that we all manage to contribute this little grain of sand. Please, share it with as many people as possible. Family and friends are also welcome!!

Llevo participando con la ONG SED (Solidaridad, Educación y Desarrollo) desde hace seis años ya. He ido de voluntaria a África y a Guatemala con ellos y, aunque las realidades que he visto en esos lugares fuera dura, he tenido la suerte de conocer a gente maravillosa con la que sigo teniendo contacto. Hace poco ha habido inundaciones en Guatemala y muchas de las familias que conozco han perdido sus casas. Algunos de ellos ni siquiera sabemos si siguen vivos debido a que hay zonas que aún siguen inaccesibles y no se puede saber si hay supervivientes. Las escuelas en las que trabajé están destruidas y hay que volver a reconstruir todo desde cero. Es una situación horrorosa que necesita de mucha ayuda y por eso os propongo este reto:
Si conseguimos recaudar entre todos 1000€ para enviar a Guatemala antes del 18 de diciembre, venceré mi vergüenza y cantaré en directo versiones de temas que seguro que todos conocéis. El esfuerzo merecerá la pena, seguro. El conciertillo será online el lunes 21 o el martes 22 de diciembre por la tarde, para que podáis conectaros el máximo de personas posible😊. Hemos pensado que la entrada valdrá 5€, aunque por supuesto todo lo que podáis aportar a mayores será enormemente agradecido.
